Veeam® Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, today announced a series of leadership promotions across its EMEA East region. These appointments reflect Veeam’s continued investment in experienced leadership to support partners and customers as they navigate the intersection of data resilience and AI.

New Sales Leadership Appointments

• Jawad Moghnieh: Promoted to Regional Director, Saudi Arabia & Bahrain, and General Manager of Veeam’s Saudi entity. With 17 years of MENA technology experience, Jawad has been instrumental in strengthening Veeam’s presence in the Kingdom and accelerating regional growth.
• Dan Popa: Promoted to Regional Director, Eastern Europe. A nine-year Veeam veteran, Dan will focus on modernizing data resilience strategies for public and private sector customers across Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.

Advancing Technical Excellence in Pre-Sales

To ensure strong alignment between customer requirements and Veeam’s innovation roadmap, the company has elevated key technical leaders:

• Islam Afifi: Promoted to Senior Regional Director, Sales Engineering, EMEA East. Islam brings 20 years of expertise in technical sales, leading teams across the Middle East and CIS to solve complex cloud and cyber resilience challenges.
• Ahmad AlSabbah: Promoted to Regional Manager, Sales Engineering, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, deepening local technical consulting and solution design capabilities.
• Mark Govender: Promoted to Regional Manager, Sales Engineering, Africa. Mark will focus on building technical excellence and trusted relationships across Africa’s rapidly evolving data resilience landscape.
